Traveling during summer months
« on: May 31, 2011, 11:56:58 PM »
So I am looking to go back to Bristol on Holiday in late june/Early July
and was wondering. Are you more or less likely to be hassled by IOs? I had one last time I went (My first time) And she didn't seem to want to let me through! After answering all her questions for 15mins she let me go. I honestly feel like She felt the urge to be the way she was since I was the only American on the flight. Just curious to know what I can expect in the summer months. Since there's likely to be more americans traveling.

I don't think I would ever consider a time of the year more or less likely for an IO to ask a lot of questions. It seems to depend on whether or not the IO feels like asking as well as if they think there's a need to. Whenever travelling, always have documentation showing you have ties back to the US, that you can financially support your visit here and that you do have intention to return. It's best to assume they're going to ask some questions. :)
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut
