Day one - what's it like?

Oh the memories... thanks for bringing this up simply for the nostalgia factor!

I raced home from the airport, had a shower, put on my best suit and had a job interview about two hours after I landed... then everything else is a blur!  Seems so long ago, but it was only two years.  How time flies

8 years ago. I think I went to the beach.

We had hired a car to take us and all of our luggage to the residence hall where we would be staying for a week until we found a flat.  We could barely stay awake and it was boiling hot but we somehow managed to set up our dinky room so that we could move around in it without tripping over luggage.  I think we then went out to dinner and marveled that we were really in London to stay!
