Greenwich/Woolwich vs Greenhithe

We are closing on our property in Winchester in 2 weeks and wondered if anyone had in depth information on any of these areas? We have looked at a house in Greenhithe on the river which I really loved and we also looked at a much smaller flat in Woolwich (Royal Arsenal development) but it's closer to the city. Any input?
