A Texan in London.. Heard that one before?
« on: July 09, 2011, 11:41:41 PM »
Howdy!

My name is Joe. I am a born Texan that moved to London, Kentish Town to be specific, via Hollywood, CA. I am here on a fiance visa and will be getting married this month.

I recently started up a .. or restarted.. a defunct group called the Anglo-Texan Society. I literally did it today.. so there isn't much there yet, but I figured it would be a good place for Expat Texans to convene. I am also looking for ideas and or help with getting the whole thing running. I am looking towards doing an event in London in the near future.. a Thames Caught American Crawfish Boil.. and it would be great to have any of you along.

Anyway, I have been lurking here on the board for sometime and I am glad to be a member now. I look forward to hearing from you all.

Take care,
Joe

Oh if you'd like to check out the new club.. here it is.. newcomer link: http://www.AngloTexanSociety.co.uk [nonactive] ..proper website in the near future!

My mother was a Texan. I don't think you inherit that, though.

Welcome to the forums. Very handy source for information.

That's why i always get/or got angry when I said I was Texan and people would respond "Oh George Bush's state.." I'd have to respond he's no Texan he's a Yankee!

Nice to meet you!

Joe
