I wonder if it is regulating on who can get in based on your location? so this way it is spread across the world? Maybe your IP? I don't know

I can see liking it because its less cluttered with ads and junk but we will see...

I just got Google+ and I'm still learning how to use it. I like that there are circles so that you don't have to worry about who sees what like I've had to do on facebook. I especially dislike the photo tag option on facebook as that seems to have gotten many people into trouble (not myself but still). I think Google+ has potential.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

The more I use it, the more I can see myself using it almost strictly for those people I actually interact with on the internet.  The circles make it so easy to just add someone because you're being nice and then never have to bother with them!  :P

You can change the focus of your feed so that you only see stuff from certain circles instead of having to click each person you DON'T want to hear from and saying "do not show in feed".  But then, if you decide "Hey, I want to see what the people in the 'Randoms from High School' Circle are doing", you can just switch over for a minute.  I feel like I have so much more control!

This is how I feel about it..

Photo tagging is my favourite thing about Facebook! Next to WordTwist, of course.  ;D

I've had an invite for over a week now but every.single.time I try to get on it tells me it's at capacity. I don't understand!! :P
Me too!! I've checked at least 10-15 times now!

It's really not endearing me to the service, and I haven't even used the bloody thing yet!

Well, it is technically just a field trial at the moment, and they've already had some hiccups with capacity. Eventually it will be opened up to everyone like Facebook, but I imagine they're spreading it out geographically.

I think you can tag in Google +, but I'm not sure how/if it shows up in the same way?  I haven't really done much with the photos because there are not that many people on it just yet!

Yeah, but I was invited over a week ago (4 July) and it's been nothing but "at capacity" since then. If they're "at capacity", then why are they allowing new invites to continue to be sent out? They're just increasing the amount of frustrated, hostile users.

And the geography doesn't make any sense - I'm in London and so is my inviter? Or am I misunderstanding you?

I'm wondering if having an existing Google account (gmail, Picasa, etc.) might not have something do with it as well?  Do you guys already have a gmail?  I invited one friend who had a hotmail e-mail address and it took him a couple of days.  ???

I meant that in order to prevent, say, Londoners hogging it ;), they're only allowing a certain number in a geographical area at a time maybe?
