Repatriation Section?
« on: July 18, 2011, 10:24:05 PM »
Is there a repatriation section at all? Or any thread(s) for those of us with a UKC spouse who want to go back to the States? Many thanks!

You beat me to it! I also recommend Dive into America which is what I used when we were working on our paperwork.

Thank you both! Couldn't see it on my ipod without your help, Petunia! It's only the visas & immigration thread that come up for me. Is it maybe just because I'm on my ipod? Thaanks anyway!!

I'd also recommend British Expats.  Their visa section is really excellent, and they are great support for British spouses/really acclimated British Americans/long term settled Yanks.

Thank you Charm City Girl and Legs Akimbo! I've looked them both over, and they look like great resources. ;)

Thanks, Sara Smile! Good luck to you and your DH as well. Just an update-I forgot that I had chosen to ignore the "Re-pat" section way back when. Yeah. Times have changed!  ::)

Abbygirl, you and your DH are considering moving to the US?  And Sara Smile is in the process?  Best of luck to you both!!  I've been back since Feb, DH has been here 7 weeks now, we're still struggling.

Oooh Abby are you and your DH moving back to the US? Really good luck! I think it would be brilliant for you both.

We've put off our plans to move over, but now DH is wavering again, he found some amazing jobs in NYC that require 2 years experience, so that seems to be our timeline now!

Just wanted to say, abby I know how much you want to move back to the US, so I hope the process goes smoothly and that you have all the finances and support you need to do it!  And you, too Sara!
