As I understand it, from what I've gathered from other threads on the subject, your husband is still eligible for any and all benefits to which he might normally be entitled.  However (and this part is important), the benefits agency cannot take you into account when awarding him benefits.  He can only claim what benefits he might receive if he were single (though I'm sure that, if you're working, they'll still count your income).

If he does apply for any benefits, it's vital that he make sure whomever he's applying with understands that you are on a visa and are NOT eligible for public funds, and that they are only giving him the single amount to which he's entitled.  In the past, people have run into trouble with ILR, etc. because it's come out that they were unknowingly receiving benefits for the visa holder as well as the UKC spouse.  So triple-check everything.

As Woadgrrl said your husband, at the moment, can still claim benefits but they would have to be claimed as a single person.  Once you have the baby, he can claim the tax credit and the benefit.  I believe the baby will be allowed to be factored into his benefits, but you can not be.

Have a chat with your midwife about child tax credit and child benefit or have a word with Citizen's Advice.

Congratulations :)
