Travelling back to US with a pet
« on: July 21, 2011, 09:04:50 PM »
I've been researching different airlines trying to figure out their pet policy. I know Continental says they allow a small pet to travel in cabin on their flights but each time I try to book tickets with pet accommodations it says it can't process it. I'm flying from London to Texas. I have a small dog that I can't leave behind. I'm due to leave in a week. Can anyone recommend an airline that allows this? I'm trying to avoid using a costly service.

Thanks :)

As far as I know, no airlines allow pets in the cabin for international flights between the UK and US. You're going to need to contact the airline and book the pet in as cargo. Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to avoid the costliness of doing this.  :-\\\\  Also, make sure your dog is up to date with rabies vaccines.

I know lufthansa does, last time I flew with them someone had their little dog with them. You might also want to try United/Delta and Air France. Continental does not allow pets in cabin for international flights.
