This is a blog about an 89-year-old barber in Tottenham whose shop was looted. A couple of advertising interns set this up to raise money for him and it's currently at almost £28,000. It's nice to see people using social media for good things as well. :)

Meanwhile, on WGBH's "Greater Boston" Emily Rooney showed clips of the riots and Cameron's reference to the lessons that should have been learned from Boston (the anti-crime program of the 1990's, involving a coalition between police and local churches). She interviewed then Police Commissioner Paul Evans, who was later hired to the Police Standard Unit by Tony Blair for his expertise in crime reduction.
