Yesterday was my first official day back in London, so I'm slightly spooked by the riots. I live in Camberwell, sandwiched in the middle of Peckham, Brixton, and Walworth, which has all seen some crazy activity.

I hope everyone is ok this morning.

Time to call out the TA to support the fire service, institute a curfew and load up with rubber bullets.

Looks like Streatham had sporadic looting.  Norbury slightly more.  I hope this ends soon.

Stay safe everyone.

Thinking of everyone - stay safe I don't think this is over yet.  It all starts when the sun goes down in my opinion.

We had some incidents here over night, but no looting. A couple of people tried to get into one of the shopping centre but failed. We did have issues with fires and one of the police stations was  attacked with petrol bombs. There is a match tonight between Forest and County so we'll see what happens with that. I'd honestly be surprised if they don't cancel the game.

I'm glad everyone is safe.

Good to see everyone safe. Let's hope order can be restored today, because I believe a fourth day of this could take a turn for the worse. People were caught off guard, but if Londoners turn out to defend their homes...well. Let's hope they get it under control.

The US media is still mostly full of the economy, US loss of AAA, and the stock market slide. Thank God for BBC America and the internet.
This stuff is truly appalling. The police seem to be totally ineffective in controlling the looting, burning, etc. I know nothing about law enforcement policies but wouldn't a few rounds of tear gas early on cooled this down? They're only beginning to mention water cannon but Mrs. May seems reluctant.  ???
Hope everyone is safe and things calm down soon!
