Any other Downton Abbey aficionados?
« on: September 17, 2011, 09:34:05 PM »
Is anyone else looking forward to the new series starting tomorrow night?

The promos that have been running on ITV look most promising!

DW loves it. She disappeared upstairs at 9pm to watch it, leaving me with the NFL!

Ooh, American football or compelling period drama?!  That'd be a tough choice for me personally.  But not tonight, fortunately -- the Steelers had a 1 pm game. ;)

If I might ask, how do you watch the NFL at home, TykeMan?

Wasn't it?!  Waiting with bated breath for what appears to be yet another action-packed episode...!

Not wanting to stray off topic.....but we have Sky, and subscribe to Sky Sports (2 games on a Sunday) and ESPN (Monday Night game). Also Channel 4 on free-to-air has the late Sunday game.

Luckily, I got my hands on it. I watched it last night. I thought it was excellent. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Also, Downton Abbey picked up a few Emmy awards on Sunday night which I was happy to see.  :)

Well deserved, I thought.

Oooo! Heading back to the UK next week, so I can catch up on episodes online.  Yes, I am very excited! (Both about the show and about getting back to Scotland.)  ;D

It's an escapist's pleasure. My bf can't stand it though and says it is for the American market... um, hello and look who you are dating! I'm just glad I don't have a TV or else I'd find lots more to get sucked into.

My newest favorite is Pan Am!

I wouldn't say it's for the American market! Just the viewers-with-good-taste market!  ;D
