I haven't seen any in London. I did find a recipe, though, that looks quite good. (Haven't had a chance to try it yet, though!)

Waitrose has a lot of off the wall American type products. I was surprised to find pancakes there. They may have it.

I always use digestives instead. They taste really similar, and I found recently that I actually prefer them!

They don't work so well for s'mores or just plain eating. ;)

I've never seen graham crackers at waitrose, but you may have luck checking out Ocado which seems to stock more American products.

Yeah, digestives don't really do it for me in place of a graham cracker - just not the same, IMO.  <---she says, having eaten a stack of graham crackers this very evening...om nom nom nom nom (my brother sent me several boxes of them from the US at the end of summer...I gave some away for a higher purpose (Nanaimo Bars) :\\\'( & I'm down to my last box)

 ;) :D

I know this sounds silly, but have you googled this question?  ;D It's amazing what you can find on google sometimes. I agree digestives and graham crackers are 2 totally different crackers! A smore isn't a smore without GC. hehe

Yup, me too. But more often than not I use gingernuts for crusts when I'm doing a cheesecake or a lemon thing or something like that.

Yum. I use half ginger nuts, half digestives for my pumpkin cheesecake. It's wonderful!

And I agree it's definitely not the same for smores, and the texture is different, but I brought boxes back from america, and found that I just didn't like them as much as digestives for plain old snacking anymore! I am thankful for that - some of my tastes have to go British, or I'll go broke!

Hee hee - I just go without until I can get a proper graham cracker fix.  ;)

However, my Canadian friend who makes the Nanaimo Bars swears it's absolute heresy, and against the spirit of the Nanaimo Bar, to make them with digestives.  She says well you'll have some kind of bar (made with digestives) but it won't be a Nanaimo Bar.  So we have to wait until someone has some!  :)

It's funny because one time a guy at work (a know-it-all, who had never eaten or even seen a graham cracker) was aggressively telling me that digestives were exactly the same thing because he'd heard Stephen Fry say so on QI once.  I said well I don't give a flying you-know-what what Stephen Fry may have said or thinks he knows - but a digestive is not exactly the same thing as a graham cracker.

I can attest to this, we tried to make smores last year and I couldn't be bothered to pay 10 pounds for a box of real graham crackers from an import shop. We used digestives and while they did the job, they are definitely NOT the same (different taste, shape, texture, how more different can you get?) :P

I don't understand all the digestive s'mores hate! I think they're wonderful in s'mores and I wouldn't want anyone reading this thread to go without fresh campfire (or bbq) s'mores just because they don't have graham crackers! Give them a try with digestives first - I think they're still awesome, especially if you can get the little, perfectly-sized squares of Hersheys they sell at Costco to go along with it.... :)
