I recommend getting into the supermarkets baby clubs. They inform you of any baby events they have coming up. Tesco recently had a baby and toddler event and I ended up buying about £60 worth of diapers for £35. They do nice wipes too which were really cheap.

Tescos and Asda seem to do the best baby deals a few times a year. Morrisons don't have a baby club but they do decent deals on baby stuff. For example, you can get their branded wipes 4 for £3.

Boots parenting club is only good in that you get the free bag. I find that their offers are far and few in between and not really a good deal at the end of the day.

Also have a look here: http://www.ukbabyshows.co.uk/find-a-baby-show/

Easy to find baby shows in your area. Facebook is also a good place to locate baby stuff. We have a local event organiser called Baybee Nearly New who do baby shows several times a year in our area.

I posted some stuff in the Freebies thread in the Parenting section, if anyone is interested. I am working my way through all the free goodies and vouchers one at a time. There are quite a lot of things available so I am expecting to start getting some things through the post. I found a Nearly New Sale near us in February, which would be a good time to buy some things, and it's amazing how many great deals I found on Gumtree in our local area for gorgeous, expensive prams and pushchairs that cost a fortune in the shops. I'm looking forward to saving loads of money for the big trip to America after the little one gets here.  ;)

H&M has great baby/kids clothing. M&S has decent things too.

Ditto the others on local NCT/Nearly New sales. They're fantastic (even for the seller!!)

I like them because they're really cute clothes and not always pink. I haven't got any problems with pink but god almighty they're not very creative with girls clothing at some places.

I totally agree with this! I did however buy my daughter a super cute Bambi sweaterdress which is pink LOL but I couldn't pass it up since she LOVES Bambi! hehe ;)

personally we've had the challenge of finding gender neutral newborn stuff that isn't pink OR blue!  H&M probably had the best selection imo.

I entered a competition to win one of these bags:

http://www.babymamabags.co.uk/products/2-hospital-bags.aspx

I didn't win, but I received a 50% off discount coupon for entering the competition, so I ordered one anyway. Once it's half price, it seems like a bargain for the amount of stuff you get and the bag will make a nice changing bag, plus I don't have to worry about packing all the stuff myself and forgetting something (though I'm sure there will be all sorts of snacks, magazines and everything else in there before it goes to hospital!)  :)
