fastrack fiance visa
« on: September 09, 2004, 08:57:55 PM »
yo vey...press the button to pay and print out the application and it says.

Settlement type: marriage

now when first opening it after choosing my location it gave me these options

visit
transit
student
work permit holder
settlement
permit free employment
family member of eea national
family member of swiss national
retired person of independent means
returning resident
right of abode.

I chose settlement as none of these others applied

then it gave me these choices

reason for visit:

husband
wife
unmarried partner
marriage
child or other dependant of settled person
adopted child of settled person

since we are not married yet I chose marriage.  There is no category for fiance.

Please someone tell me they did this and it was right.

Looks right to me. If you are unsure though, you may want to call them.

Ok we called them three times and 2 of them were unsure.  Finally the last one who was so helpful said that it was the marriage one.  They also said (after we gave them our circumstances) that they do not see a problem with it all.  At least this post will help other worriers.
