Car insurance as a returning brit with a claim
« on: November 03, 2011, 04:38:42 AM »
Not sure if anyone can advise on this. About 6 months ago I backed into a telephone pole. Yes dumb,  :-[ my excuse was I was wearing brand new contacts having just left the opticians office.  ::)

Anyhow.. I made the claim to help with the repair cost. Plastic bumpers cost a small fortune apparently, In hindsight I wish I hadn't.

We are going back to the UK. I am trying to buy insurance for my car there (I have a used one waiting for me). Of course they all ask about any claims made in the last 3 years. I am British and have a UK License still. Judging from what I have read here we'll add US Hubby after he gets his UK license.

I suppose I have to note this claim on my applications?

Oct 10th - Applied Online
Oct 14th - Biometrics Appt.
Oct 24th - Application fed-ex'd Overnight w/ Worldbridge Priority Service
Oct 25th - Email saying it had been received
Oct 27th - Email saying Visa Approved!
