I've been in the UK for the past 6 years on first a sponsored work permit, then on a Tier 2 ICT visa. I've now quit the job at the sponsor company to start a new one in Belgium. My previous employer obviously notified UKBA of this change and now I have received a letter asking me to send in my residence permit (no problem - that makes perfect sense) AND my US passport plus 2 recent passport photos in the next 14 days.
No way can I be without my passport for however long it takes them to send it back to me, and what the heck do they need 2 photos for???
I can't find anything on the UKBA site about this and the number I called led me to someone just as cluelss as me. Anyone know what the deal is???
