Bisquick

Anyone seen Bisquick recently?  I've seen some old threads but haven't been able to find it yet at either Tesco's or Morrisons.

Ocado has it, and a bunch of other American goodies under their Thanksgiving tab.

Me too  :)
Me three!  Even though I can get it quickly in the States, I'd still like to have the recipe.

Found the recipe in another old old thread

I have another clone recipe for Bisquick

Ingredients:
9 cups Flour
1/3 cup Baking powder
1 cup Powdered milk
2 tablespoons Powdered milk
4 teaspoons Salt
2 cups of shortening or Atori

Directions:

Sift all dry ingredients, cut oil into flour until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Store, well covered in cool dry place.

Use just like you would Bisquick, or pancake mix.

Oh for God sake...I have been a member on here since 2005...and knew it was on here as I posted it several years ago..thought I would help out...so excuse the hell out of me...

I'm outta here...to many people on here are over sensitive...and it's not near as friendly or as fun as it used to be....us older members have lots to contribute but seems like we shouldn't try anymore either....

Thank you both snowlass and MeShell for both your efforts. Recipes are very indivdual and someone's could have been different, so its not wasted at all!!

I think its nice when everyone old and new contributes to the community and it's not a matter of 'beating someone' - or having something posted 'to death' but its about sharing ideas and being open.   Sometimes you remember things from past postings, goodness knows we could link together several posts on washing up bowls and not rinsing the dishes and regional accents and finding Mexican food and 'what not to bring' -but ideas to get updated, new things come out and newbies don't always know where to look.  So I always appreciate all posts from everyone alike.

Is that shortening ok at room temperature?  Like crisco? Does it not go rancid?
