Yeah, not nearly cold enough for snow here (not that I would mind!), though it poured early this morning.  The sun is out now and like Mrs. R mentioned, the snowdrops are as well as the crocuses (croci?).  I think we have turned a corner and spring is definitely on the way!

Bit of a weather update:

Last couple of days, we've mostly been in mild, cloudy warm sector conditions. This morning, an active cold front came down from the northwest bringing heavy, squally rain - that was your pouring rain this morning, Andee - and much colder, but dry air behind it.

There are snow showers around (some heavy), but they are mostly concentrated up in Scotland and the northwest of the UK near the coasts. The rest of the country is going to be mostly dry and sunny (almost no cloud at all) for the rest of today and tomorrow. However, tonight is likely to be cold with a frost in the morning.

We were in the super heavy rain belt this morning, but now it is gorgeously sunny even though it is cold. If I can't have snow, it may as well be spring.  ;D

MIL told me last night after she watched the weather report that we were supposed to have sleet and snow today. I'd just checked online and it was only calling for rain, with temps too high for sleet or snow. I'm not sure where she got her report.

I just checked the webcam and I don't see any snow. Maybe it melted by now

We've had a little bit of everything here today...the rain that Andee mentioned earlier - was also mixed with a bit of sleet up at my end of town.  Then the sun came out brilliantly - but it's quite a bit colder than it was the last couple of days.

Then around 4:30-5 pm-ish, we had another sudden & strange mixture of rain/sleet/snow - that only lasted a few minutes.  And then it cleared up again enough to see the last rays of the setting sun.  Now it's just cold & windy out.

we got that same few minutes of sleet/hail in my part of Cheshire - but quickly melted. Lots of sun for today, but cold. Fine by me - I have to be at the airport EARLY tomorrow morning.

We had hail yesterday that sort of looked like snow coming down if you didn't look too closely.

Noooo!  My phone told me yesterday that we could get yellow snow here!  It was a yellow snow warning...  ;)

Summer in March, yellow snow in April, what next?!  :o
