My wife is flying to the UK today!
« on: December 02, 2011, 12:39:50 PM »
My wife is making the move to the UK tonight, along with her lovely little dog :)  I'm picking them up from Heathrow Airport tomorrow morning and am very excited!  It's been a long process but I'm so happy that the wait is almost over :)

I'm going to drive down from Durham to London after work and stay overnight.  She could have booked the onward connection to Newcastle Airport, but it's the first time her dog has flown and she didn't want to put him through any further unnecessary stress.  I don't mind - having my wife with me will make the journey back up the M1 and A1 far more pleasant than usual :)

I'm so excited for both of you.. and the sweet little four legged one.  ;D I loved that breathless moment when the wait was FINALLY over.

Wishing you both all the best! :)

How wonderful. I remember reading her posts a while ago. Wishing you much happiness and love.

Thanks everyone :)  Jess is settling well, although there's still a bit of jet lag to get over.  Cooper has settled straight away!  He just needs to get used to people and cars going past the house :)

Great news. I remember picking my wife up from Manchester airport. I couldn't go and meet her as soon as she arrived as we had a very important meeting in the morning at work that I needed to be there for. So I had a half day and went from work arranging to meet her in a coffee lounge at the airport. I arrived to find her fast asleep with her head resting on one of 2 huge suitcases plus a few other boxes as well!

What a sweet image!  :) I'm incredibly tired every time I land in Manchester, so I can only imagine how hard it would be to stay awake when you're sitting there for hours.
