Form 2555 - Employer's Foreign Address
« on: January 20, 2012, 10:15:58 AM »
Hi all,

I've decided to make a start on my taxes early as it's the first time I'll be doing from the UK with UK income (last year it was all US income as I wasn't working here yet).

I have a quick question about Form 2555.  I work for a very British company (as in, it's ok for me to have a Doctor Who banner in my signature line), but we have offices all over the world.  So when entering my Employer's Foreign Address, do I use my office address, the main building address, the address on my payslips, the address of the US satelite office?  Or quite frankly, does it matter as long as it's a UK address?

Thanks!

PS - for anyone interested, last year TurboTax didn't like my DH not having a SSN so I had to hand-amend and mail.  But H&R Block seems happy to accept it and let me efile.  Handy for anyone with a simple filing.

I'd use the address on your pay slip. I hope this helps.
