The Rams will “host” the Patriots in London on October 28, 2012.  It will be part of a three-year series for the Rams playing games at Wembley Stadium in London.

As much as I enjoy the NFL, this will be the second year in a row I skip the Wembley game, as I'm waiting for the Dallas Cowboys to come over.  I don't understand why they keep sending the same teams over and over (Pats twice, Bucs twice, and now Rams three times).

People in the UK who follow the NFL already have their team, and probably wouldn't just switch to the Rams because they're coming over 3 years in a row.  The Wembley game is much better as a celebration of the NFL rather than a way to build support in the UK for a particular team.

As a fellow Cowboys fan, I agree with you.  I am not spending the massive wad of cash they want for a game to see anybody but the Cowboys.  I realise that they can't send them over every year, but c'mon.  They are a great draw...if you don't love them, then you probably hate them and want to see them lose.

I think it depends on who is prepared to give up their home field advantage...

According to http://www.nfluk.com/tickets-events/nfl-wembley :

"Club Seats will go on sale on Tuesday, January 24 at 10am. General admission tickets will go on sale a later date which will be confirmed very soon."

I've never thought the Rams were much of a draw, and despite the hideous season we just had, I'd never pay to watch the Patriots, being a Colts fan. NO offense Kaylesh, just a sports thing.  ;D I'm all for getting NFL interest spread far and wide in this country, but as it was mentioned upthread, most people already have their teams they support.

It has been fun finding people to 'argue' NFL with while I've been here. One friend is a Bears supporter, and I've never been a fan, so we go back and forth with the good natured banter. She thinks Cutler walks on water and I think he is as big of an a$$ as his dad. Fun times.  ;D

Or maybe not.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission believes that the team’s lease at the Edward Jones Dome requires all home games to be played there.  The CVC manages the stadium.

“We immediately brought this to the Rams’ attention and are awaiting their response,” the CVC said in a statement.   “Our lease with the Rams requires that the Rams play all their home games in the Edward Jones Dome.”

I get that the NFL wants to grow interest in the UK. But they certainly won't do that by putting a product like the Rams on display.

Jerry Jones let America's team come over. Don't see that happening (as good as it would be for the sport!)

What better ambassador's for the sport than America's Team?   :)

I bet Jerry would be ok with it if it was a road game for the Cowboys, but he makes too much money from the Death Star to give up a home game.

True dat. "Jerry - we'll pay you an extra couple million" and he'd be over in a heartbeat.

The Pats v Rams game in October 2012 will still go on, but the Rams have pulled out of the 2013 and 2014 games.  I'm still waiting on the Cowboys, so I don't mind if the Rams come or not, but it's probably disappointing for UK/Europe-based Rams fans (if any).

Anyone but the Cowboys!

Sorry but I detest them with a passion - all that "America's team" thing, and being in Philadelphia and apart from Eagles merchandise seeing Cowboys stuff......they are the Yankees or Man Utd of NFL.
One thing about getting them over in the UK......would unite almost all the non-Dallas fans behind the other team!
A couple of years back on a visit with DW to see her dad, and we were in a bar in southern NJ watching the Eagles-Cowboys game.....plenty people in Cowboys gear getting some stick!

Ha!  I'm used to the slings and arrows of jealous fans of teams other than the Cowboys.  I realize that when your own team's coach and veteran linebacker are suspended for rampant and flagrant rule-breaking, it must give you some satisfaction to try and take down honorable opponents.
