Just finished The Blotting Book by E.F. Benson. Now I'm reading The Bread and Butter Stories by Mary Norton.

I've just finished Digging to America by Anne Tyler.  I loved it, a real story about two families and also a meditation on belonging and friendship, thoroughly recommended!

I read that a few weeks back and absolutely adored it. A refreshing new look at multicultural America with funny bits.

Just finished Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Very good!

I really liked that one!

I am loving it so far. Much more than her other book, The Little Friend.

Absolutely. I read The Secret History first, and was so excited to have another Donna Tartt book to read ... but I thought it was dreadful.

I liked The Secret History much more as well.

Have just finished what feels like about 20 books.  Notables include:

Sense and Sensibility - Jane Austen
A Complicated Kindness - Miriam Toews
Money - Martin Amis
1984 - George Orwell
Wicked - Gregory Maguire
The Perfect Man - Naeem Murr

I loved The Secret History, but was clued in by friends before I wasted my time with The Little Friend.

The Secret History by Donna Tartt

Such a great book.  I read it years ago when it first came out.  I would loan it out to all my friends.  Finally had to get a new one.

I'm reading Prep now, really liking it.

I'm reading Prep now, really liking it.

It is really entertaining. Not very deep, but good.

I like that especially about it. ;D

Funny, I didn't realize the author was female.  Her name is Curtis, so I just thought she was a he.
