I'm reading Prep now, really liking it.

The author is a friend of a friend!  They were in grad school together.

Im reading the Series, Wheel of Time by RObert Jordan.  Im currently on the second book, The Great Hunt.  If you like a little bit of fantasy and a LOT of adventure , these books are real page turners!  Best in the genre since TOlkien imo.

I really liked the first about five of those, but after that he spends about the first 500 pages of each book going over what happened in the previous books.  It got too much for me.

I'm reading School for Scumbags, it is really good.

I just started a book called "Before and After" by a Matthew Thomas.  It is totally not something I would have picked on my own but my husband insists it's a pretty funny book so I am  humoring him.  Started it last night and it already sounds weird.  It's about exploding sheep and the end of the world  ::)

I picked that up at the car boot sale a few months ago, but it's still on my TBR pile. Is it worth bumping it up to the top of the pile?

Not sure, it's sort of interesting about a boy with a dysfuctional parents being adopted by his mother's shrink. It is full of unconventional odd balls. Not really sure where it's going. Supposed to be funny but not my cup of tea. I'll finish it though.

I am reading that too. I like it.
I am also reading A Round-heeled Woman for a book club I just joined. Don't really care for it.

I really liked it. I thought it was hilarious and bizarre, I couldn't put it down. It's a memoir and I had to keep reminding myself of that because it was just so weird. I recommended it to my book club in the US and they were like...wtf??? My friend kept blaming me for the pick! It's not very long and I found it to be a fast read.

I'm doing a bit of light summer fluff reading right now - the newest Lisa Jewell book, 31 Dream Street. I do think she's one of the two best chick lit writers around. She manages to come up with slightly mysterious and very intriguing characters.... I know it's not exactly high brow, but I still find her quite page-turning.

DB and I have started to reread the Harry Potter books in prep for the movie and book coming later this month! He was very intrigued by the US artwork, he thinks they look so much more interesting. He's also reading to see how much difference there is between the two versions. I don't think there's much except for words...

I love both of those!

I'm reading The Good Soldier by Ford Madox Ford. Both Ruth Rendell and Graham Greene say it's the best book ever written!
