I just finished Diary of a Mad Mother to Be...this book made my laugh out loud so many times.  It was as if I wrote the book because it was so close to my humor.  Tonight I am starting The Way Things Were

I got Diary of a Mad Mother-to-Be from Read It Swap It after seeing this recommendation.  I've almost finished it and I too think it's really funny.  A good read!

A collection of short stories by Agatha Christie.
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

I'm reading my birthday presents!  (Yay, husband finally realised what I like as presents; books!)  Finished "The Constant Gardener".  I think it's beautiful, but that may be partially because the cover design is gorgeous.  And I'm a sucker for novels with dead people as main characters, especially if set in Africa or Asia.  Halfway through "The Master" by Colm Toibin.  Not sure why it's not really grabbing me, even though I quite like Henry James.

LOL! I was the opposite with that book. I loved it, but have never been very fond of Henry James.  :)

Back When We Were Grownups by Anne Tyler.  I've recently read quite a few of her books and I really like her writing style.

Chary, I found "The Master" excellent past the halfway point... going to start it again in a few days, and see if I like the first part any better.

Lady Oracle by Margaret Atwood. I started it Monday and finished it this morning, that's how much I liked it! I am gorging on MA at the moment, I don't seem to be able to control myself!
Starting The Blind Assassin tonight.

Have you ever read any of her short stories? There's a collection called Wilderness Tips that's one of my favourites!

I haven't read Wilderness Tips, yet! I do have Bones (I think that's what it's called) which is a tiny book with a selection of short stories.
I used to read Margaret Atwood as a special treat, because I love her stuff so much that I hate the idea of having read all of it, if that makes sense, but lately I just can't stop. This probably has a lot to do with fiction being on sale at my local Book Barn for a pound a pop. I never get past the A's!
