I just finished Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.

The Italy section really dragged for me, and I couldn't understand the point of the book at that stage. She came across as being very self-obsessed and I didn't really sympathize much with her. But then I really enjoyed the India/Bali sections, and it made me want to travel again!

Anyone else read this? What did you think?

This sounds interesting--is it fiction or a true story?  I like stuff about women travelling....

I'm reading "All the Joy You Can Stand" by Debrena Jackson Gandy and "Succulent Wild Woman" by Sark.  Both are women's psychology / spirituality / self-empowerment type books.

It's a true story. The most interesting part of it for me was the spiritual change she went through in India. She stayed at an Ashram for awhile.
