Just polished off Q&A the book Slumdog Millionaire is based on in one sitting! I'm not even sure if I liked it or not, but it was hugely engrossing.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

I'm on a scandalous woman spree! I'm currently reading Beautiful and Beloved (about Mavis de Vere Cole) and then next up is The Bolter!

'One hundred years of solitude' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Not sure whether I like magic realism or not, but it's quite compulsive.

Eat Pray Love

So far, I've enjoyed the Eat bit more than the Pray bit.  It is a really good book, only drawback is that it's made me cry a few times while I've been reading it on the train, which is a bit embarassing!

I have finally--thanks to unemployment and the local library--managed to start reading the No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series.  The first book was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to the second!

Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon.

It's the 5th in the Outlander series.

Now I'm even more excited!  I've been meaning to read them since about 2003  :-[
