I picked up 'Twilight' at the airport the other week. I'm about halfway through and it's okay, but I'm not sure what all the hype is about.  :-\\\\

I cried like a baby reading that.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

I cried like a baby reading that.

Oooh goodie.  I love tear jerkers.  Since it's Saturday night and my bf lives in the UK, I think I'll cuddle up with that on the couch.

Freed of all book club 'obligations' ;) for the time being, and having finished the four novel Twilight series, I am starting to read Laurie Lee's trilogy - Red Sky at Sunrise, which begins with Cider with Rosie.  Such lovely prose, so far, and it makes me want to visit Gloucestershire!  Maybe one of these days, I'll get an invitation?  ;D

I adore Laurie Lee!! (I have a signed copy of Cider!)

I'm currently reading the first of the Temperance Brennan books by Kathy Reichs, on a friend's recommendation. It's surprisingly well-written for what I thought would just be a fast-paced thriller!

I'm reading:

The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher: A Shocking Murder and the Undoing of a Great Victorian Detective.

So far so good, but I'm only about 100 pages is :)

I quite liked that one! It wasn't what I expected, but it was good!
