I only started last night, and fell asleep too quickly, but so far it's absolutely lovely!

Great!  I am looking forward to it!

Last night at the library, I took out:

The House of Bilqis  - Azhar Abidi

Foreign tongue : a novel of life and love in Paris - Vanina Marsot

The jewel box - Anna Davis

No clue about any of them; I just saw them on the new books shelf and thought they looked interesting.  Really light reading, I'm guessing.

I just finished "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society."  It was absolutely charming, and was very interesting to learn about the German occupation of Guernsey during WWII.  Now I want to go visit Guernsey.

Next up is "Bitter is the New Black" and "Bright Lights, Big Ass" by Jen Lancaster.

Just started The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards and enjoying it so far. Her writing style reminds me a bit of Audrey Niffeneger.

I read that awhile back and a week after I read it, the movie came on Lifetime.

Just finished ready Want to Play by PJ Tracy and currently reading The Straw Men by Michael Marshall.  Ummm...yeah...apparently I'm on a serial killer kick.

I know most people either love them or hate them but a friend loaned me Twilight and New Moon. I just got them tonight so haven't started reading them yet. Not seen the movies so thought I mine as well read the books.

I've read the entire series (took me about 1 day for each book because I couldn't put them down) and love 'em!  Would definitely recommend!

A Simple Act of Violence-R.J. Ellory. I bought it for Mr. A as a part of his birthday present, and I picked it up when I noticed it next to our bed.  It got me hooked pretty quickly, and usually I pick up detective fiction very reluctantly.  It's good so far.

I Loved that! It's not very detective-y really, although obviously the murders are a central theme (I'm guessing you've discovered this by now). It is very gripping though and I remember having to shut myself away to finish it and having that "ahhh" moment when it was over.

Hmm, I've realised how poor my ability to describe books is :(

Riiight....Perfectly Correct by Philippa Gregory is horrible. Last night it went from bad to worse to stop reading this piece of crap. It is VERY rare that I won't finish a book, but that's exactly what happened with this one!

So now I'm reading The Silence of the Glasshouse by Martin Malone.

The cover says Bright Lights, Big Ass is "a self indulgent, surly, ex-sorority girl's guide to why it often sucks in the city or who are these idiots and why do they all live next door to me?"

I am just finishing up "Bitter is the New Black" and it is light fluffy fun.  I expect Bright Lights, Big Ass will be more of the same.
