Really enjoyed The Post-Birthday World. Very dark, sad, funny, and warming, and leaves me with a lot of questions about all the little choices I've made. Nice!  :)

I'm reading Shampoo Planet by Douglas Coupland. Don't know how I didn't get round to reading it when I was in the States, but, at least DH has just about everything Coupland's written. :D

I went through a serious Douglas Coupland period when I first moved here.  It's not that I think he's a brilliant writer.  He's just very entertaining and makes some pretty sharp observations.  I am slowly going through the series of jPod on our on demand service, and it is so strange how differently he has put it into a visual medium than I felt it was like when I read it.

We have the dvds of jpod. DH got them from amazon canada. He's pretty diehard. :) I agree, Coupland's not the greatest writer ever to live, but, I just like how he phrases things and makes ordinary situations seem....not so ordinary. And yes, he's very entertaining and has sharp observations.

I just read Miss Ranskill Comes Home by Barbara Euphan Todd.

Now I'm reading New Moon, for a change of pace.

Oh, I loved that. Bit disappointed in the ending but even now I think/wonder about the story - thoughtfulness must be good, right?

Finished Dune and now on to Stone Cold by David Baldacci. It's pretty dire. Must. Pay. Library. Fine. so I can get some good books.
