Just wanted to let you know that I have kept plugging away with Cloud Atlas, and I'm loving it! Even the Sloosha's Crossing chapter! In fact, the dialect isn't even noticeable to me anymore! I think I'm going to start speaking like the characters before too long!

Yea!! I'm glad you've started enjoying it again. :)

At last, I have my hands - and eyes - on Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince! ;D
I was born in the Summer and at Night...my mother named me AUTUMN DAWN.  True story.

Jamie's...beyond the stars and past eternity.

EMAIL or PM me for information about gigs or about booking me (solo gig) or the band.

Don't worry, Courtney. You're not alone! I haven't started it yet either!

It's driving me a bit batty to talk with ppl who have finished it as they all have that "knowing" tilt to their head. They ask, "where are you?" (in the story) and when you tell them, the head goes up and they say "ahhhhh". I have made it my goal that when I finish this book, I will not "ahhhhhh" anyone!!!  [smiley=angel.gif]

I'm listening to it a chapter a night with the eight year old, so goodness knows when I'll finish it.   ;)

Aww. Cool! This is how we started back at the first book. We took turns reading it out loud at night. I have missed chunks of the story when I have fallen asleep. :)

Picked up Janet Evanovich's new one at the airport in SF.. almost done with it and then onto something else in the stack.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

Just started reading Eva Green by Susan Fletcher - 2004 Whitbread winner. It's good and I'm quite enjoying it but it seems fairly standard so far.

Oh, man I was feeling the same way! I have it sitting right next to me here at the computer and every once in a while I just thumb through it - it's an incredible book. I wish I'd taken in slow, now, too!

OK, now I really want to read this Cloud Atlas.  I've done everything I can not to order it.  I have way too much to read and I'm broke.   :\\\'(

I'm sure I'll get it anyway, just being moody!
