Started Count of Monte Cristo today, Alexandre Dumas. Been wanting to read it for ages! I'm very pleased so far.

I just finished We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver.  Holy crap is that a good book!  It's harrowing and awful, but really an excellent read (I started it on the 1st and finished it this afternoon).

I'm reading the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.  I'm completely in love with it already.  It's such an endearing book!

Just a quick question, is anyone on here on goodreads.com?  It's a really great site for keeping track of all the books you read and ones you want to read as well as getting reviews and recommendations on books.  It's kind of like social networking for book fans.  I haven't spent loads of time on it yet, but it looks really good so far.

Totally harrowing. It was one of those books I didn't enjoy reading at all, but it stayed with me more than most books do.

No, but I've been on LibraryThing.com for years and it's amazing. It's a similar thing but (imho) much better than Good Reads.

I really found that book fascinating. Currently reading Jasper Fforde's newest (Shades of Grey) and Making Haste from Babylon (a history of the Pilgrims/Puritan movement).

Also a huge fan of librarything! It's AWESOME. First online organizing system I actually use (and I've tried many of them....)

Swapped Count of Monte Cristo for the Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. The count was just too heavy going for me, I don't see myself making another try for him, either.
