OMG!  I haven't thought about Redwall in years.  I used to work in the children's section at a Borders, and that was probably our most popular series (this was pre-Harry Potter).  Kids were fiends about it!  I always thought about giving it a try, but never got around to it.  Maybe it's time for a walk to the library...

What are these about, New-Dawn?

Exposes, I love these behind the scenes books. Got it for £4 too!

Synopsis
The hotel business is a licence to print money - not only for the managers, owners and shareholders, but for the people who work there. From chambermaids' tips, to doormen making [pound]2,000 a week, to the concierge taking backhanders - everyone in the hotel trade is on the make. The hotel business is a licence for the guests to steal - anything from fridges, furniture, plasma TVs, carpets, loo seats, bathrobes, ashtrays, teaspoons - even re-filling the vodka bottle in the mini-bar with water. The hotel business is a licence for guests to behave badly - from rent boys and girls by the hour, to [pound]800 on telephone porn bills, [pound]24,000 room parties, drugs, dead sheep, splashing out on [pound]5,000 bottles of wine, guests falling through windows, naked guests, drunken guests and guests who have to be sectioned. The hotel business is also a licence for celebrity to reign supreme - from Michael Jackson's Evian bath to Madonna's odd curtain fetish, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp's parties, Princess Diana's taste for oysters, Pamela Anderson's sexual gymnastics, the Queen Mother's chips and Prince Phillip's Silver Bullet cocktail. Hotel Babylon is a trawl through the highs and lows, the extremes, the tragedies, the miseries, the decadence and the debauchery of the ultimate service industry - where money not only talks, but gets you the best room, the best service, and also entities you to behave in any way you please...

I have the Time Travellers Wife..........I couldn't get into it.......will have to give it another try......

I have also read the series by Diana Gabaldon...the series starts off with Cross stitch...

CLAIRE RANDALL IS LEADING A DOUBLE LIFE. SHE HAS A HUSBAND IN ONE CENTURY - AND A LOVER IN ANOTHER -In 1945, Claire Randall is back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon in Scotland. Innocently she walks through a stone circle in the Highlands, and finds herself in a violent skirmish taking place in 1743. Suddenly she is a Sassenach, an outlander, in a country torn by war and by clan feuds. A wartime nurse, Claire can deal with the bloody wounds that face her. But it is harder to deal with the knowledge that she is in Jacobite Scotland and the carnage of Culloden is looming. Marooned amid the passion and violence, the superstition, the shifting allegiances and the fervent loyalties, Claire is in danger from Jacobites and Redcoats - and from the shock of her own desire for James Fraser, a gallant and courageous young Scots warrior. Jamie shows her a passion so fierce and a love so absolute that Claire becomes a woman torn between fidelity and desire, and between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.

I have read 6 of the books so far and I picked up the next volume at Gatwick on Sunday night.......you can't put it down.
