I've started buying ebooks and now it's like I have a bookshop in my pocket at all times! I'm never going to have spending money for anything else every again.
I'm currently reading Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabot. It's a chick-lit about a former teen Pop Idol who gets a job as an RA at a college dorm after her mother steals all her money, her label drops her 'cause she wants to sing her own songs, and she catches her fiance with the latest Pop Idol. And then girls start dying in the dorm *dun-dun-DUN*
I haven't read any of her teen books (Princess Diaries and whatnot) but her adult book heroines tend to read the same: first person narative, good-hearted and trying to see the best in people, average intelligence but no street smarts, easily embarrassed by sex, full of not-always-reliable trivia that she "read somewhere". I'm not sure the book is worth what I paid for it, but I'm 61% of the way through and it's increasingly entertaining.
