Ok...first of all - YOU ARE ALL TO BLAME!

Whew...there! Got that out of my system.  ;)

Right...after work today - to avoid pre-bank holiday traffic on the motorway - I stopped at the mall.  I wander into Waterstones to see if they have Cloud Atlas- as WH Smith didn't.

SO...I ended walking out of there with THREE, yes THREE books mentioned in this thread!!  One of which I have ALREADY READ!  (Time Travelers Wife - I had given my copy away after I read it ).

SO now I not only have a dent in my book budget for the month - I have THREE books to read!!

Geez!  Thanks guys!  ;D

(p.s. - I got Cloud Atlas, Time Traveler's Wife & The Kite Runner)

I reccomend Amazon Market Place!  You can get loads of books for .01 and then £2.49 shipping.  It's great!

:) Thanks to Alicia, I have just started reading A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, by Dave Eggers.  It seems to be, so far, a fast moving narrative type of book.  It isn't fluid, but, rather, in short spurts it keeps you interested and keeps you reading.  At least that's my impression thus far. Ta again, Alicia.

Just started The Sixth Lamentation. Also bought (damn I LOVE Fopp!) The Prophet, cuz it makes me feel good just dipping into it sometimes, and Middlesex since I really dug The Virgin Suicides.   And just for fun picked up More Bushisms. Oh yes . . . the insanity continues . . .

Amazon Marketplace is an integral part of Amazon.com (or co.uk ;)).  When you look up a title, there will be the Amazon price for a new one, and in many, though not all, cases, there will be a link that says "X number new and used". If you click on that link, you're now in Amazon marketplace.

Likewise, if you have books you want to sell, you can list them there and other folk will see them listed when they are looking to buy. I use Marketplace all the time to buy and sell and it's a really good system.

Hope that helps! :)

Thank you; it does help to clarify... I've NEVER seen a book for .01, though, which is why I thought it might be a whole nother place!

The only 0.01 books I have seen are the ones that everyone has read and now is getting rid of. It's good if you need to catch up on a title but if you're looking for something obscure, good luck. :)

Most of the ones I have bought have been .01  Guess I am just lucky.  I have a lot listed for .01 Though some are listed a lot higher as well.
