3/4 of the way through "What Was Lost" by Catherine O'Flynn.  It's sort of a weird, semi-mystery, semi-dark comedic literature novel.  It's not brilliant, but it's a quick read.  I became interested in her when Mr A picked up an excerpt of a later novel.  I haven't been able to find the full length book in the library yet.

I am jumping on the bandwagon late but I've finally started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and can't put it down!

Anyone else read them all?

Yes, I read them all and loved them.  I've also watched the three DVD's complete with Swedish subtitles.

Ah!  Were the movies good?  I am only halfway into the first one and can't put it down!

Our Kind of Traitor by John Le Carre

How are you liking it? Just the other day a friend and I were commenting to each other that we've never read any Le Carre but feel as if we should.

Hooray! It isn't just me!  [smiley=laugh4.gif]

I've been watching this thread for ideas on what to read next once I finish my series. It will take a while before I get to it all because I am online far too much. I used to read a minimum of 3 books a week, now it seems to take months because I don't drag myself off the laptop very often.

Well, DH got it because of Le Carre's reputation as he hadn't read anything by him before. He thought it was a bit rubbish tbh, but I have nothing else to read, so I figured I'd give it a go. He said it's one of those that you can tell the author doesn't really know how to end it, so he kind of gives up. I've just started it, so I can't really give an opinion just yet.

I hadn't actually even heard of Our Kind of Traitor! I have The Spy Who Came in from the Cold sitting around on my bookshelf which, because it's better known, might be better-written. Does it work that way? Anyway, I'll give it a go one of these days. Le Carré lives just a few miles from here so I feel I ought to read one of his books, for no other reason than geographical loyalty!

This is a new release. DH said he thinks his earlier stuff might be better, so you should definitely read the one you have. Let me know how it goes!
