Just finished Ready Player One, by Earnest Cline. Really enjoyed it, but then I am a geek. :)

I just finished The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes which is the best thing I've read in a long time. Now I'm going to start the new Elizabeth George, Believing the Lie.

I just finished the entire Honor Harrington series by David Webber - what can I say, I'm a sci-fi junkie  ;D

I'm going to need to invest in floor to ceiling book cases as soon as I make the move across the pond.

What did you think of it, Woodlily? I have to say, I was a bit disappointed and didn't think it was up to her usual standard. Too many implausible things.

Since then I've read Hans Fallada's Alone in Berlin which was beautiful, sad, moving, tragic, and altogether wonderful.

And now I'm reading Private Papers by Margaret Forster which I picked up at a second-hand book sale on the weekend and thought might be a good antidote to the heaviness of Fallada!

I just finished reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and loved it...can't wait to see the movie later this year....now going to start the 3 volume series of Lord Of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.  I have watched the whole uncut series of this movie and am now playing the mmorpg of L.O.T.R.O which is based on the books.....

I have read these books a few times, and I have sort of been itching to re-read them again since it's been about 5 or 6 years. I think you may have inspired me to just go on and do it, even though I have a few new books to read!  :)

That is one series I will never tire of. I enjoy reading them every few years.  :)

I'm finally on 'The Mammoth Hunters', which is 3rd in the 'Earth's Children' series by Jean M. Auel. I've read them all - except the 6th which came out last March, and am re-reading the series before buying it.

I used to read 8 - 10+ books a week, but somehow lost my way. I'm making more time to read these days, but it still isn't enough time to suit me.

How is it? (No spoilers, please!) I'll be reading it in March for one of my book groups.

Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while.  I enjoyed The Sense of an Ending.
