Floridian currently living in Lincolnshire.

I don't know why I haven't done this sooner. I'm from Central Florida and lived in the UK now for almost 7 years. Thought I go ahead and finally add myself on a forum. So any one else for Florida or living in lovely lincolnshire?

Hey I live in Friskney with my hubby and little girl We went to NYC a few years ago. It was amazing and would love to go again one day.

Ah cool. I miss New York so much, not much happening here.

Yeah I'm really Homesick as well. Haven't visited the family in just over a year. Not much happens here in Friskney either but hey at least the weather was nice today!

This is the thought that has sustained me on many an occasion:

August in Florida....coming out of Walmart....shoes sticking to tarmac....shirt glued to back.....opening car door....the fiery furnace of hell.

Here in August I wear a light jumper....

I'm from the St. Petersburg area and moving to Edinburgh soon. How do you like Lincolnshire? Got a friend from there, actually.

Lincolnshire is really nice and quiet specially beautiful in the spring and summer. Not so much to do but I like taking walks with the dog and going to the park with my little girl. I'm from Citrus County not too far away from St. Petersburg. People always say to me when I tell them I'm from Florida "Why are you here?" lol I'm sure you'll get that too.

Oh, cool.  It seems like there are a lot of us infiltrating the UK!

And as far as the comments, oh my god.  I get that all the time, and I'm not even there yet!  People find out I'm going to Scotland, and the immediate response is, "...Why?"  Normally I get a funny look too, and a remark along the lines of, "Well, I hope you like drinking."  ;p  Haha.

Florida born and raised..had been living in Orlando for the past 12 years, originally fro S FL. Have no idea where Lincolnshire is (still needing to study my geography) .

Moving to Liverpool Friday..high of 88/31 here tomorrow so glad to be leaving here before the dreaded FL summers (which I don't mind, as long as I am in a pool w a frozen drink)

England has beautiful summer's as long as it doesn't rain In case you wanted to know Lincolnshire is on the east coast and Liverpool is on the west. Moving to a city is a good thing I wish I had way more things to do. Good Luck on your move!

I'm moving 70 miles west if you (Calverton) in 2 weeks...from California. Though It cant compete with SoCal from a weather perspective, my sinuses and I are looking forward to losing the pollution!!
