Printing Skype Logs?
« on: March 22, 2012, 12:32:18 AM »
Alright ladies and gents - I'm starting to get everything together for our intervening devotion - because at least I know THAT won't change! - and the whole Skype thing has me scratching my head on how to print out the logs.

For all those who have/are applyng and used Skye logs for your visas, how did you go about printing them out?

Hi there, I am not saying this is what you should do but its something you could do.............. If either of you has been saving the chat logs of your communication then you should have a 1 year worth of communication details depending on how long you have been using skype for.

Once you have opened the log, of the  history
Scroll to the top of the conversations and find a date withing the conversation. Press the print screen button on your keyboard  and capture a screen print.
Go to word and paste the capture.
Repeat this process for  at least 11 more times selecting a different date ie a date  from each month............ i guess this will help

Yeah, I just took screenshots of the logged dates/times of some of our calls and printed them, too.  You won't need to print off loads and loads; just show that you've been in steady contact with one another.  You can take screenshots of your e-mail inbox, too.  They don't need to see the conversations, but you know, the main screen of your inbox showing your subjects with the dates.  How long will you have been apart by the time of your application?

Ohh.  Yeah, I see now why you're concerned with intervening devotion.  :(  Sorry you're apart!  As long as you have a sampling of communication throughout that time, you should be alright.  E-mails, Skype logs... if you mail each other cards or anything, you could send those too.  The date's right on the envelopes.  :)  My husband and I weren't apart for long, so I didn't need to send much, but those are the things I used personally.

Yeah. We talk via iMessage since we got married and my husband bought me an iPhone so we don't email daily like we did before marriage. And the Skype on my phone doesn't log our calls on he bill since its through an app. So I'm thinking I'll print out some logs from when we webcam and what emails we do exchange and some from before our wedding.

If it helps...I only sent along 2-3 pages of Skype/IM/chat logs that spanned the 12 month period my husband and I were apart (and this was before we were married). I highlighted any bits where we had conversation about our "plans for the future" and also included a couple of phone bills.

This seemed to be sufficient.
