Never met here too. My dad died in 1973, for one thing, 30 years before my in-laws ever came into the picture. And my mom was one foot in the grave (full around-the-clock nursing home care, not in her head, non-ambulatory, no longer able to travel etc) by the time my husband (and in-laws) turned up as well. She died at the end of 2008. However, my lovely in-laws paid for our flights back to the US for my mother's funeral, so that was a wonderful gesture on their part. I am blessed with great in-laws!

My husband's remaining in-laws - that is, my brothers & their families all love him to bits though. And my MIL & FIL did meet one of my brothers & his wife who came over here to attend our wedding in 2004 - they all got along very well!
