Santorum to dropout of the race

He is having a news conference shortly.

Interesting that he is doing it now because his home state is going to the polls in a few days.

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO. I mean, strategically, maybe it would have been better for him to have stayed in the race for a bit and forced Romney to concentrate money and effort on beating him and all. But really, I am SO TIRED of hearing him talk. I'm really glad that he's lost his soap box to preach hatred and bigotry and backwards opinions about women's rights and roles in society.

I totally agree Aimless.  On the one hand I'd love more Daily Show on the other hand I can't stand him.

Was he polling really badly in PA?  I mean he didn't get re-elected, but he still had some supporters.

He was polling pretty poorly in PA. Maybe he wanted to avoid the embarrassment? Maybe he cut a side deal with the Romney campaign (for a spot on the ticket or something in the cabinet if Romney wins)? Or MAYBE, just maybe (and this would be awesome only because I'm a horrible person) but there's a sex scandal waiting to come out? Oh please please let it be the last one and please let it involve santorum (of the Dan Savage definition kind)!

I figured it was this. I can't believe he would have done well in PA since he lost it previously.

In case anyone wants to relive a little bit of the magic... ;D

Here are the Worst Moments from his Presidential Campaign

What a horribly misguided human being.  :P

Awe, man. I was totally going to vote for him too!!!

Just kidding of course!  :P Is it wrong that I hope some massive scandal comes out about Romney? Does that make me a bad person?

Simply because of my background, I kinda appreciated him running. A lunatic, sure. But a Catholic lunatic.

Oh well. Off to the dustbin of history, Rick. Say hello to Al Smith.
