Doesn't matter to me where I get mine, as long as I don't get food on 'em. Which I haven't yet...

;) ;D
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

For me, it was Secret deodorant, Noxema, and underwear!  :) When I was in the UK, I found it hard to find a pair of underwear that didn't end up becoming a wedgie after 1 minute of wearing them. I'm rather thin, but I've got a bit of a bum in relation to my size, and nothing I found ever stayed put, or even fully covered my bum for that matter. If I wanted a thong, I'd have bought one!  :P

:D
I plan on bringing back next month:
Oyster crackers
Saltines (no, the Italian ones they sell here don't taste the same to me)
Triscuits
As many flavors of cheez its that I can fit into the suitcase
Hmm, looks like I have a slight carb problem doesn't it?
Neosporin
Advil
Band aids
Lucky charms for the 8 year old.  I have seen them here but I refuse to pay those sort of prices.
Items with USA on them like t shirts.  Since we are going over around Memorial day there should be some patriotic items around.
Clothes if they are reasonable
After reading this thread underwear.  I've given up on finding comfortable undies as my hips and bum are quite big.

Dobie dish scrubbers

Coast bar soap

Melitta one cup coffee maker with filter holder set (you can get the filter papers in the UK but have never seen the cup and filter holders)

teaspoons (so I don't have to eat my cereal with either a doll spoon or a shovel)

Used to bring plain Cheerios for the kids and Annie's "Bernie Bunny" mac and cheese for the kids

OMG, Coast bar soap!  I had forgotten all about that, but I've now asked my mom to bring some over when she comes back to visit next month.  Wal-Mart are selling an 8-bar pack for just $2.97!

Yes! It's the coverage issue. The underwear I tried from M&S were a size 16 and STILL didn't cover my size 12 bottom. Forget that!  >:(

Maybe this is why I always go for size 14 undies when I'm really a size 12.  I get the wedgie thing happening as well with some styles.

This is bizarre because I always buy a size smaller than I am in M&S knickers. I find they run quite large.

Because I am still a child, I get my undies at Walmart, since I can get Mickey Mouse, Muppets, etc in adult sizes.  ;D I do have basic black, white and 'nude'... and some ahem.. 'fundies' but just like socks, I figure if you have to wear them, you may as well have fun with them.

While we are on the subject... Why, when people ask me if I want a choccie bikkie, say leccy, brolly, etc all cutesy, is it 'childish' to say panties? I haven't figured that one out, but I was corrected when I first came over, and asked where to find them in a shop. I was informed adult women didn't call them that unless speaking of a child's underpants.

Another thing I brought over after my first six months was my Pampered Chef measuring cup with measurements in cups, ounces and ml.

I don't think of it as a childish way to refer to them ... but maybe it is and I missed the memo! To me it's just kind of icky and is one of those words that makes me shudder. But that's just me.  :P

If someone corrected me on that, then I'd be sure to call them panties every time the subject came up again with that person!  I don't go around talking about them a lot though - lol!  ;)

Panties always strikes me as a bit of a dirty word, like it refers only to like japanese school girl underwear, and yes, I totes agree the more someone scolds me on something the more likely I am to say it  ;D

I always had the total opposite pants problems to everyone here, they were alawys giant on the bum no matter how small I got them and always fell down unless they were super tight and then they were baggy on the bum.

So I totally lucked out on pant(ie)s there's a burlesque, corset shop on Brick Lane and they were closing down to move into the new Box Park and they were selling all their silk underwear for £3 a pair instead of about £15 in a one day sample sale. I needed all new pants anyways so I bought like 15 pairs and now I have all handmade silk pants! (Mixed in with all my old giant primark pairs)

I usually jokingly refer to them as bloomers, if I have to mention them, because it is such an antiquated word that it sounds funny. I just went for something a lot of people call them when asking at the shop, not realizing they call them 'pants' here. After that I just went to find them myself instead of asking, or just bought them in the States.
