Hi guys,

I just received an email that said I'm offered a place on their program and I automatically thought 'uncondtional' based on the way they worded it but then I thought it was too good to be true so went on the online system and it says conditional (2.1 average overall) . So good news but I'm worried that I won't get the grades they're asking for. I messed up my second year big time (during our struggle to survive phase that we went through) but continuously produced 2.1 work during year 3. Year three does count for 75% of the overall average so that makes me feel a lot better. I won't have all of my grades until early July. So there goes another month of being anxious!

Do you think they'll give me maybe 1 or 2% leeway? I'm fully capable of being a good student as I've proven in my third year when things were stable. I was even told by my supervisor that I need to have a few days break because I was working so hard and making myself ill.

What do you guys think? Any input appreciated :)

Perhaps you could spend some time gathering contacts to be on side if you need some extra help convincing them?

(ps I think you'll achieve the 2:1 anyway! This is just in case!  ;D)

And congrats on being accepted!!!!

 ;D Thanks Jennie! I can't help it, I'm excited!

Do you mean I should be emailing the lecturers and asking them questions about the course and telling them my research interests?

I was thinking more about the lecturers you already have, and if they could be useful if you were right on the border for letters of recc or support to your programme. (ie.."Miss GibbyGab's progress this year is an indication of her commitment..etc,etc")

Ah yes! I've been in touch with some of them. I hope it doesn't come down to needing anything else from them though. Thanks for the help Jennie :)

Not yet. My grades aren't being released until the first week of July. So that's when I'll know for sure. Nervous!
