Thank you for your sympathy especially given that I made the mistake!  I didn't see 'Opening Oct 5th' when I printed the directions from the website.  That's how excited I was.   ;D

We ended up going to Borders which I haven't been in since moving here.  Also visited Starbucks inside the store and gasp!  an American was working there (she's from San Diego).  When we heard, 'what can I get ya today?' and 'is that for here or to go?' we had to laugh.  Haven't heard those phrases for a while.  I guess they let her use the Americanisms, instead of 'take away', etc.

Aimiloo...you did...they sell them in one of the big stores (perhaps Harrods?) downtown in London.  I've tried to forget on purpose as I'd rather not have the urge to go buy some!

Borders is good though.  That always lifts me up.   :)  Buy a couple of American magazines, look at the cds, drink coffee.  At least it wasn't a completely wasted trip.

And I say 'what can I getcha?' and 'for here or to go' at work all the time.  Can't stop myself.   ::)  And even better my Turkish co-worker also sometimes says these things-as well as 'cheeseburger. ;)

And they're open in Canary Wharf, too, I think now.

Does anyone else NOT like Krispy Kreme doughnuts? Personally I find them cloying. (Not to worry, though, there are plenty of other unhealthy things I love!! )

I'm a purist for Dunkin Donuts myself. Kripsy Kremes just seem so small and dainty. Awww, look at the pretty donut!

But back to Krispy Kremes. I wouldn't turn one down. And hell, Watford is out there but seems like a fun road trip that you will get to do again in a few days, eh muse?

I'm not a big fan of Krispy Kreme, but they'll do for the occasional craving that can't be satisfied by UK doughnuts.  I first heard about KK on UKY and everyone was raving about them, but when I tried them, I was a bit disappointed.  I also prefer Dunkin Donuts.

Now I hope the KK brigade doesn't stone me to death with doughnuts.   ;)
