Oh my bad! William Fox-Pitt! HOW could I have made such a mistake!

Snowlass, I would be deeply indebted if you could point me in the right direction! With luck and all the stars in the right place I hope to be moving to Eastbourne around Aug 18th. I will check back to chat more with you. I'd feel so better about making contacts and getting involved with people in the know. I do love hosting small clinics and I don't know if they do dressage schooling shows or ride-a-test clinics like we do, but I do love to volunteer for those as well. Have sat on the board for a couple of different GMO's here in the states and love to contribute to the activity.

Me neither. :( But I've been avidly watching the online coverage.

Won't make it to Burghley this year, either, as I'll be in the US for a wedding. Next  year, though, I'd love to get to Badminton and Burghley.

Mary King is amazing. DH, best friend and I are going to Burghley. Did Badminton last year. Really looking forward to it!

Definitely. :)

I loved Mary King's antics during the interview segment she had yesterday when she realised she'd gotten fewer time faults than she thought. And again today after her round - such enthusiasm. Go Archie.

Went to Burghley last weekend, it was pretty fun!

So, now that I am here, are there any really awesome tack stores to visit in the South East or around London? And I'd like to volunteer with a group. Is there anything similar to the GMO's we had in the states for Dressage or Eventing?

Burghley is amazing! I wasn't there this year, but I am totally going next year. As far as GMOs, there is the BHS (horse charity) and various riding clubs that would have membership groups, although the BHS is probably the most volunteer focused. Otherwise, there are ALWAYS more volunteers needed for shows and events, so poke around the British Eventing and BHS websites and see where they need you!
