Marrying in US Question?
« on: May 25, 2012, 08:47:53 PM »
Hello all,

My fiance (UKC) and I (USC) have contemplated marrying in Illinois next summer, him returning the the UK afterwards, and me soon following.

My main question right now, is what visa does he need for us to do so? I've read that a visitor's (B-2, I believe) visa is required. Is the waiver program also valid? Thanks for any advice =)

He doesn't need a visa to marry in the US if he is leaving afterwards.

Can just enter on visa waiver if not planning to outstay that visa.

I entered on that, got married and left 2 weeks later for UK, my wife following a week after that once her spouse visa came through.
