From Arizona and living in Essex

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone. I moved from Tucson to Thaxted in May '10 and my wife and I were married that October. We have an 11 month old son now and I have a daughter who is nearly 6 that is living outside Copenhagen with my ex-wife and I fly over twice a month to bring her back for weekend visits/vacations etc.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Heh, yeah I agree with you. The first year was ok, but I'm pretty tired of the damp and lack of anything resembling light or heat..ah well whatever. We're heading back stateside next summer for a couple weeks and I'll have to recharge the vitamin D batteries then. Christmas is festive though. I haven't been to Manchester yet, I suppose when we've got some more time we'll have to do some traveling about. How are you handling the driving over here? That's what I miss most- long, straight properly measured width roads with decent markings and a shoulder!

I'm British (was born in London) and left as a child with my parents.  I'm now in Louisville, looking to return sometimes next year.  Was hoping to return this year unfortunately that won't happen.  I will definitely send you a message once I move next summer.

I'm from Tucson as well and moving over to the North Yorkshire area in the Spring. Very much looking forward to the change of scenery, only wish it came with a bit more sunshine!

I met my fiance at Gentle Ben's on University Halloween 2009. He was stationed at Pinal Air Park for 3 months, training with the Army Air Corps in Arizona. He was born and raised in Carlisle, Cumbria. I've taken 3 extended trips to Northern Ireland (where he is currently stationed) and Carlisle over the past 2.5 years. We just found out today that he will be posted to Dishforth in January, so it looks like I'll be heading that way, for good this time, after our February wedding! Can't wait
