« on: July 27, 2012, 03:25:24 PM »
Im thinking of buying one because they look fun and they are super cheap it seems. But my question to you is this...Do you they are hairdresser's cars? Or your kid sisters car or something? Being new to British perspective its hard to know, you know what i mean??  What do you think?

If you are asking if people think its a girl's car, then no, I dont think so.  I wouldn't anyway.  Guys like MGs, so I think you're safe :)

My husband had one a couple of years ago. We both jokingly called it his hairdressers' car, but he still liked it.

Hi

Overall image of these cars is that they are 'girly'

Pretty much any car that is small, compact, can come in a convertible option, can have bolder colours will be very popular with the female half of the population. Of course, 'some' guys will drive them too.

With regards to the car itself, they're not 'too' bad, they are run of the mill really, in a nicer looking body. Quite problematic and unreliable, so as you've identified - cheap to buy. Running costs will be relatively good, provided you find a good example, if not, it'll spend more time being fixed than being used!

Hope this helps

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!
