Couple of quick Q's
« on: August 08, 2012, 05:51:09 PM »
Some of you may remember me from asking q's last year. OH and I moved to Scotland last year, and then decided to move back to the US in December. In Jan. 2011 we got our cats their 3yr rabies vacc; they've been chipped since 2005. We went through the 6month process last year, and the cats entered the UK in October 2011 and came back to US with us in Dec.

So, in giving that background info, I know the process has changed since last year. From reading the sticky and subsequent posts, I had a couple of questions. Firstly, since our cats rabies vacc is still valid, could they feasibly skip the 21 day rule? If we can skip the 21day rule, then I guess we could feasibly have the vet fill in her bit on the EC998 one day, then go to the Aphis Vet for him to fill in his part, then go back to our vet on the 3rd day and have her do the Annex II within 10days of flying? Is my understanding correct?

Secondly, it appears the tick/tapeworm is now voluntary for cats?

I assume I can reuse the same papers for proof of microchipping (since ours were done so long ago) that I submitted last year?
