FOUND: Maple syrup, Aldi

When I was in Lidl today I noticed that they had maple syrup as well.  
As someone who grew up eating Karo pancake syrup(Log Cabin or Mrs. Butterworths if we were feeling posh   )  I prefer the fake stuff.

Was the Lidl stuff the real deal? And did you happen to notice the price?

ETA-It was Canadian maple in a smallish bottle with a red label. 

the male syrup is a stock item at Aldi, and it's good. OK, not St. Johnsbury VT, but good and the price is right.
