How long in advance were you able to book your pets' travel?

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this has already been asked.  My husband and I are moving back to the UK from Los Angeles at the start of February, but when I tried to book our kitties onto the same flight we were told by the Virgin cargo people that we will have to wait at least another two months.


Is this normal?  I am eager to get it all set up since the last thing I want is to be told that they can't come on the same flight as us.

Yes, I wasn't able to book until 14 days before the flight. I'm not sure why they don't book pets on flights well in advance, but since they don't, at least if you call as soon as they'll let you, you shouldn't have any issues getting your pets on the same flight as you.
